The 50-ton heavy duty H-frame shop press utilizes an air/hydraulic power system that delivers up to 50 tons of pressing force. When components need to be removed or assembled, this press delivers the controlled power to get the job done. The pressing ram head may be operated with either of the hydraulic hand pump lever or the pneumatic pump (actuated by the foot pedal). One handle accelerates the ram head to the pressing point, while the other handle is used to deliver maximum pressure when the full press capacity is needed.
The frame is robotic welded for maximum strength. A winch cable system is utilized to easily raise or lower the bolster beam to provide the correct distance between ram and pressing surface.
The adjustable chromium plated piston ram can be moved from side to side on its rail guide system.
An oil filled pressure gauge provides accurate pressure readings.
How Do I Get My Stuff Off The Truck?:
Many customers do not have access to loading docks and forklifts. We have assembled some photos of our products being unloaded with and without the aid of a forklift. Many of our freight carriers have power tailgates on their delivery trucks. There may be an extra charge for the power tailgate, depending on the carrier. The power tailgate is normally rated at 1000 LB. capacity. This is not enough capacity to unload most of our lifts. However, when used properly (and safely), the power tailgate (in conjunction with some common sense) allows the customer to off load many of our products without the use of a forklift.
Most truck shipments will be delivered by a commercial freight carrier operating a tractor/trailer rig. The semi trailer will be enclosed. Most commercial carriers have smaller straight trucks and some have small flatbed trucks, but the majority of freight companies will not use these smaller trucks for your delivery. Greg Smith Equipment cannot guarantee the type of truck that will be used for delivery. You should assume that your product will be delivered on a tractor/trailer rig that uses a 53 foot enclosed trailer. This is a VERY LONG rig. It is the truck driver's responsibility to make sure that your product is brought to the back of the delivery truck. It is the customer's responsibility to unload the product from the truck.
If you are going to have your products shipped, please review the following:
1. Shipping a large product to a business address or to a freight terminal creates far less headaches than shipping to a residence. 2. Are you sure that a semi with a 53 foot trailer can access your delivery area? 3. Do you have the proper equipment to off load your product? The truck driver will move the product to the back of the truck, but it is the customer's responsibility to unload. 4. Have you discussed the GSES shipping policy with your salesperson? 5. If you are shipping your product to a buddy's business (because he has the forklift), are you 100% sure that he will inspect your shipment for concealed damages?
Also: Please read (and understand) the following the articles to make sure there is no confusion about your responsibility in the shipping process. We ship thousands of lifts, tire changers, wheel balancers, air compressors and other pieces of large equipment each year. Once you (the customer) order from us (the distributor), our goal is to make sure that delivery of your purchase goes as smoothly as possible. If you have questions, please get them asked and answered before the delivery truck pulls into your driveway.

We employ a full staff of technicians who can assist you (over the phone or in our warehouses) in repairing your equipment with genuine parts.
