The Atlas 412AP 12,000 pound capacity alignment lift package are designed and built to commercial grade standards and will provide many years of service. Our Atlas alignment packages offer many exclusive features not found on many other competitor's lifts. Each Atlas 412AP alignment lift package consists of the Atlas 12,000 lb alignment lift, 2 of the Atlas RJ-6000 rolling jacks (6,000 pound capacity) and a set of front turntables. The turntables can be set in different positions on the runway. There is also an air line kit ($300 value) included with each package. The slip plate package is built into the runways. Drive through ramps are available as an option.
How to Use a Power Tailgate to Help You Unload Your Product From a Truck.
Most truck shipments will be delivered by a commercial freight carrier operating a tractor/trailer rig. The semi trailer will be enclosed. Most commercial carriers have smaller straight trucks and some have small flatbed trucks, but the majority of freight companies will not use these smaller trucks for your delivery. Greg Smith Equipment cannot guarantee the type of truck that will be used for delivery. You should assume that your product will be delivered on a tractor/trailer rig that uses a 53 foot enclosed trailer. This is a VERY LONG rig. It is the truck driver's responsibility to make sure that your product is brought to the back of the delivery truck. It is the customer's responsibility to unload the product from the truck. Watch our video on how to unload your two post or four post lift from a semi truck.
How to Unload Your Two Post or Four Post Lift From a Semi Truck.
Features: The Atlas 412AP (12,000 LB. capacity alignment lift package) incorporates many structural and cosmetic features that are found on lifts costing thousands of dollars more money. The Atlas 412AP is tested to ensure that this alignment lift system will perform flawlessly at its rated capacities. The Atlas 412AP has been manufactured to the same exacting specifications for many years.
The Atlas 412AP uses a high strength cable system (with a under runway oversized hydraulic cylinder) powered by a 220 volt (single phase) power unit to raise and lower the lift. Many competitors use an "old style" chain lifting system with an exposed hydraulic cylinder system. Old style chain lifts are difficult to "level" properly and the exposed hydraulic cylinder is responsible for numerous "door dings".
The Atlas 412AP alignment system incorporates a lock ladder system in each column and all four column locks are simultaneously air activated from the power unit column. The runways are bolted to the cross tubes, but can be adjusted (moved in) if needed.
One pair (2) of turntables and built-in slip plates are standard with the Atlas 412AP 12,000 LB. four post lift system. The alignment turntables can be moved to two different positions.
Electrical Requirement: The electric motor for the power unit requires 220 Volt (single phase) 60 Hz. We recommend using at least a 10 gauge (grounded) wire from the electrical panel. The power unit has a short pigtail (no plug) that can be wired to either a quick disconnect box (mounted on the lift column) or to a male/female plug combination. A 30 amp breaker is recommended. Atlas RJ-6000 Rolling Jacks:
The Atlas RJ-6000 is a heavy duty rolling jack designed to lift and support 6,000 LB. The commercial grade RJ-6000 rolling jack can be used to raise the front or rear portion of a vehicle; allowing the operator of a four post above ground lift to perform wheel and brake service. Most commercial shops buy two of these hydraulic rolling jacks, so that the entire vehicle can be supported in the air at the same time.
The Atlas RJ-6000 has telescoping arms that can be extended over the runways of the four post lift. The lift pads at the end of these arms can be positioned under the LIFTING POINTS that are located over the runways of the four post lift. The Atlas RJ-6000 rolling bridge is equipped with expandable supports which adjust to fit many different brands of four post above ground lifts. These supports have a unique roller system that allows the rolling hydraulic jack to glide easily under the entire length of the vehicle. The large heavy steel wheels allow the rolling jack to be positioned under the correct lifting points in a matter of seconds.
The Atlas Atlas RJ-6000 comes standard with a set of peg style truck adapters which increases the lifting height of the lift pads. These truck adapters will allow the Atlas RJ-6000 rolling hydraulic jack to raise most pick up and larger trucks that will sit higher than the average passenger car.
The Atlas RJ-6000 comes equipped with an Atlas Air/Hydraulic Pump. The air/hydraulic pump requires a supply of compressed air (air compressor) to work properly.
The Atlas RJ-6000 rolling hydraulic jack features two solid locking positions that are used when the vehicle is to be suspended above the runways. When the locking positions of the Atlas RJ-6000 are engaged, the hydraulic pressure from the lifting cylinder of the jack is eliminated. (These locks act much like a pair of jack stands after you lift a vehicle off the ground with a service jack). Atlas Edge 401 Hybrid Alignment Machine:
Atlas Edge 401 Hybrid - Speed, Accuracy, and Simplicity at an Even Lower Cost: The Atlas Edge 401 Hybrid features the speed and accuracy of the more expensive Atlas Bluetooth ® alignment machines in a system that uses cabled front heads and wireless rear heads. The Hybrid sensors are compatible with either the included standard four point wheel clamp that requires runout compensation or the optional 24" non- runout FastClamp system.
The Atlas Edge 401 Hybrid is the perfect choice for the customer that wants the absolute most precise instrumentation in the Industry at a very competitive price. Check the features and prices of the Atlas Edge 401 Hybrid before you purchase a used Hunter ® alignment machine. We know that many of the Hunter ® representatives take trade-ins when they sell newer alignment machines. These older Hunter ® alignment machines are sold at about the same price as a new Atlas Edge 401 Hybrid wheel alignment machine. Why invest your hard earned money in a used alignment machine that incorporates "old technology" and requires a long set-up time. Call us to find out more how easily (and inexpensively) get into the wheel alignment business with brand new equipment.
The Atlas Edge 401 system comes complete with a color printer, 19 inch monitor, and keyboard.
Two Vehicle Database Updates Per Year: After the vehicle is positioned on the lift (this machine is so versatile that an accurate alignment can be performed on the floor), the operator would select the model and year and vehicle from the huge database. (operator may enter their own data). The customer receives two updates per calendar year, so the database is always current.
Over 25 Languages: The database has over 25 languages that may be selected. So if your technician would rather read the information in Spanish, German, Italian, Lithuanian, or dozens of other languages, then the Atlas Edge 401 machine is the perfect choice.
Standard Self-Centering 4 Point Clamps: Includes a set of self-centering 4 point clamps, with removable claws. These clamps will clamp wheels 10"-24" and require runout compensation.
Patented FastClamp System (Optional): An accurate alignment begins with the wheel clamps mounted correctly to the wheel. If the wheel clamps are not mounted properly, then the accuracy of the sensors is compromised. Precision accuracy is the result of the proper relationship between the reference point, the measuring sensors, and the software data. The patented FastClamp system assures the operator of the most accurate reference possible.
The Fast-Clamp fastens to the wheel by "gripping the tire". There is no need for any type of "roll-back" procedure and zero runout is attained (IMMEDIATELY). Lipless wheels and dual wheel trucks are absolutely "no-problem". The Fast-Clamp system is perfect for rims that are 13" to 24" in size. You get two sets of "tire grabbers" to secure to a wide variety of tire sizes and you receive all the pins needed for special lipped wheels.
The reason the fast clamp is a non runout is that it is so precision made that it induces no artificial runout into the circle. The standard 4-point on most aligner systems when tightened down flexes and creates a large amount of artificial runout that must be compensated for.
NOTE: If you upgrade to the Patented FastClamp System, you will not receive both the Standard 4-Point Clamps and the FastClamp system. You will only receive the receive the Patented FastClamp System.
Hybrid Front Wired/Rear Wireless Sensors: The front two sensors are connected to the front console with cables. The rear sensors communicate with the front sensors via Infra-red transmission. The operator can begin the alignment program from any sensor head. The control panel on each sensor head eliminates the need to walk to and from the console. The CCD measuring system is absolutely super accurate and the front and rear camber and toe (with thrust) are measured automatically.
The Caster and SAI turning routine requires less than 10 seconds and the complete diagnosis is displayed for both axles on all the sensors and console.
All sensors tell the operator if the angle is within specifications, making the additional cost of a rear remote unnecessary.
The alignment program is so simple that the operator needs only to push four (color-coded) arrow buttons located on each sensor to navigate the entire program. The same four color coded arrow button keys are also located on the console.
These sensors are so durable that breakdowns and down time are not an issue.
Fast And Easy Alignment: The Atlas Edge 401 is absolutely the fastest and easiest alignment machine to operate. The FastClamp system means that the operator does not need to perform a "roll back" on the vehicle.
Most other alignment machines require a time consuming "roll-back" operation which delays the operator from obtaining the car's measurements as quickly as possible. The Atlas Edge 401 alignment system allows the operator to install the sensors and acquire both axle measurements (including Caster and SAI) in less than 3 minutes.
We do not believe that Hunter ®, Accu-Turn ®, Ranger ®, Bosch ®, Snap-On ® or John Bean ® alignment equipment will allow the operator to record (accurately) these important measurements in such a short period of time.
The CCD camera technology is recognized as the Industry standard and the sophisticated software provides the operator with simple, logical procedures resulting in the fastest format to align a vehicle.
The software help screen has hundreds of animations, images, and detailed drawings that depict the method of adjustment for each vehicle and other important information. There is also a "spoiler" program for those vehicles with low air dams.
Ease of Use: Many service shops have been hesitant to add alignment service to their list of "services performed". Atlas alignment equipment is the perfect answer for those service centers that have not added an alignment machine to their list of shop equipment.
Many of the BIG BRAND names would have you believe that you must be a graduate from an engineering college to operate an alignment machine. The Atlas Edge 401 is easier to use than downloading songs to your iPod ®. If you know anything about alignments, you will be able to set up and use the Atlas Edge 401 within minutes of opening the boxes. The four button arrow keys make alignments easier to do than changing a 24 inch custom wheel.
Quality and Reliability: Several BIG BRAND alignment manufacturers try to intimidate or scare customers into believing that if you don't buy their red BIG BRAND alignment machine, then you will never have future service or updates. We smile (loudly) at these ridiculous claims. The price of tire changers and wheel balancers has gone down dramatically over the past 5 years. Why has the price of alignment equipment remained so high? One reason, the alignment machine market is dominated by only one "player" that has kept the price of alignment equipment "artificially" inflated. Most alignment shops do not make their money by strictly doing the alignments. These shops make their money by "hanging parts" and then doing the alignment. Speed and accuracy combined with a small initial investment make the Atlas brand far superior to other machines.
Many service shops are afraid to buy any other brand of alignment machine other than the BIG BRAND machine, because they believe that all the "good alignment techs" have only used the BIG BRAND alignment equipment and will not use a "No-Name" brand. Well, the Atlas brand is made by a manufacturer that has been making alignment instrumentation for the past 38 years.
"F.A.S.T" Finder System: The Atlas 401 and Atlas 601 are the only aligner systems offering the Front Axle Speed Test "FAST" Finder System. The FAST Finder System allows you to find out within minutes whether a vehicle needs an alignment. You have the ability to mount only the front two sensor heads and obtain a fast printout of the condition of the front steering axle. This can be used for quick alignment checks which will help you sell alignment service and make your shop more money!
Component Loaner Program: Parts for our Atlas alignment machines are repaired under our Component Loaner Program. This is a tried and true program that has been in place for more than 10 years. The beauty of the Atlas system is that it is cleanly divided into only 5 major components - 4 sensor heads and one PC. We diagnose your problem by phone or internet access. If one of the components is at fault we will send you a loaner component via FedEx. You simply place your component in the same packaging and FedEx automatically returns two days later to retrieve it and return it to us.
This is a faster, more efficient, and less costly method of offering service to our customers. It reduces customer's downtime which means more income. It is a more modern and innovative way of providing service and support.
Software Updates: Software updates to the Atlas 401 and Atlas 601 machines are FREE. All you need is an internet connection. If you do not have an internet connection, we can also send you a USB Flash Drive which can be used to download updates.
Vehicle Target Data: The vehicle data base is compiled by the U.S. Company MOTOR. Motor has one major release each year which means an upgrade is available for purchase for a nominal charge (Between $350 and $495) each July. In other words, most 2011 vehicle data will be included in the July 2011 upgrade. The target data starts with vehicles in the early to mid 1960's and continues thru 2011.
Important Facts Regarding our Target Data:
Originates from a major U.S. auto company (MOTOR, owner of ALLDATA) for vehicles sold in the U.S. - NOT A EUROPEAN DATABASE.
Over 90,000 vehicles listed in the database.
Upgrades available each July by internet or by flash drive.
Alignment data can also be easily entered into the system manually using the keyboard.
Customer is not obligated to purchase the upgrade each year.
If the customer skips one year (2011) the 2012 upgrade will include the 2011 upgrade. (N/C)
Parts And Accessories: Atlas believes that service equipment should be no more complicated (in fact, less complicated) than the electronic system on today's vehicles. If your shop can work on today's cars and trucks, then your shop can easily diagnose and repair any Atlas wheel service equipment. Most shops want to control their own destiny when it comes to "fixing their own stuff". Greg Smith Equipment stocks the parts and accessories to get your shop "up and running" if any of your Atlas wheel service equipment needs to be serviced. We supply the parts (ASAP) and you supply the labor.
This simple concept is why Atlas wheel service equipment is the fastest growing brand of equipment in the world. Why wait for the BIG Brand service tech to visit your store, order the parts, and charge some ridiculously high price for installing simple "plug and play" parts.
This equipment is very sophisticated, but is also very durable and simple to repair, if repairs are ever needed.
Atlas offers a very low "up front" purchase price and supports their products by stocking parts and accessories that can be easily installed by the end-user.
The computer and printers found in the Atlas Edge 401 may be purchased locally. Even the sensor batteries are available locally. Greg Smith Equipment and Atlas Equipment believe that the profit should be made from the sale of the equipment; not from "nickeling and diming" our customers on inflated "proprietary items" that could easily (and cheaply) be bought locally.
Warranty: Warranty is one year for parts. For six months we will furnish labor to correct the problem. This does not include transportation costs for shipping components back and forth. This also does not include any on site repairs to customer location.
Why spend your alignment equipment dollars on older (and sometimes obsolete) alignment
equipment, when the same amount of money will buy an alignment machine that costs about
the same as a used Hunter ® alignment machine, but does so much more.
Before you spend $15,000 to $35,000 or more for a Hunter ® alignment machine (or any
other BIG brand name alignment machine) please consider buying an Edge (state of the
art) alignment machine from Greg Smith Equipment Sales, Inc.
Our top of the line Atlas EDGE 601 machine sells for about $12,000. The BIG NAME
competition's top of the line alignment machines sell for over $25,000. What value
do you receive when you pay two times the money for a Big RED alignment machine?
Your Atlas alignment machine is dependent on the software stored in your CPU. You must
protect your CPU from power surges or a sudden loss of power. Battery backup products
with surge protection capabilities should always be used with your Atlas alignment machine.
