Center Post Adapter:
The Atlas exclusive REMOVABLE center post adapter system allows the operator to properly position the wheel on the tire changer. Other center post tire changers have a permanent fixed metal center post that requires the operator to lift the wheel over the post to mount the wheel. The Atlas removable CPA system (with a floating lug hole positioning pin) allows the operator to slide the wheel into the correct position and lower the wheel onto the protective center post pad with no fear of wheel damage.

The spring actuated lug hole positioning pin is covered with a durable nylon cap to prevent damage to the wheel. The pin is placed through one of the lug bolt holes to prevent the wheel from rotating.

The center post (with the Atlas "Quick-Nut" system) is locked into place (using one of the nylon center cones) AFTER the wheel is properly positioned on the shaft, minimizing any chance for the wheel to be damaged.

Wheel Lift:
The Atlas wheel lift is much more user friendly than those wheel lifts found on machines costing thousands of dollars more money. The Atlas wheel lift raises the wheel vertically to the proper height, and then moves the wheel to the horizontal position for easy movement onto the post.

Two Speed Motor:
The Atlas TC-205 has a two speed (220 volt single phase) motor that allows the operator to select the best speed for mounting and demounting a variety of wheels. Select the slow speed for expensive and delicate wheels and the fast speed for high production. Both turntable motor speeds can be "feathered" using the foot pedal. The turntable motor is also reversible.

Mount/Demount Heads:
The no-touch mount/demount heads (both a metal head with plastic inserts and a high density nylon head are included) are controlled by a sophisticated (ergonomically positioned) joystick control panel that allows to the operator to "micro-manage" the movement and position of this special head to mount and demount even the tires with the stiffest of sidewalls.

Bead Breaker:
The hydraulic bead breaker exerts a tremendous force on both the upper and lower tire bead without ever touching the rim.

Hook Tool:
The pneumatic drop center rod incorporates a special hook system tool. This non-mar plastic head presses (and holds) the sidewall into the drop center of the rim as the tire is rotated. The tool may also be used to raise the lower bead.

Bead Roller:
The hydraulic bead roller exerts enough pressure to the top bead area for easy mounting and demounting of the stiffest sidewall tires.

7" Monitor And Simple Controls:
The 7 inch monitor allows the operator to see everything that is happening on the bottom side of the wheel. The joystick controls are ergonomically located under the monitor. The controls are easy to understand and provide the operator with the ability to precisely control all operations of the tire changers.

Foot Pedals:
The foot pedals are engineered and designed to provide years of service. The large chrome tube located at the front of the tire changer helps shield the operator’s legs from the revolving wheel.

Hydraulics:
The center post adapter system is moved hydraulically. The bead breaker disc arms and the top bead rollers are also controlled by the rear mounted hydraulic pressure system utilizing an Italian manufactured valve system.

Bead Blast:
The Atlas 205 incorporates one of the safest and most powerful bead blast systems found on any tire changer. This blast system requires the operator to press strategically located buttons while holding the blast nozzle with two hands.

Automatic Shut-Off Feature:
The Atlas 205 tire changer incorporates an automatic shut-off feature that conserves electric energy and extends the life of key components.
