IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

READ THIS FIRST before you operate your Atlas® KwikBay midrise lift. The 7K Kwik Bay is designed to be a Quick Service Lift.

The Atlas® Kwik Bay is a free standing 7,000 lb. capacity portable scissor lift. The Atlas® Kwik Bay is the perfect lift for Commercial Quick Service Bays and wheel service specialists that need extra lifting height. This portable lift easily raises a 7,000 lb. car or truck to a comfortable working height and does not require the customer to position arms under the lifting points of the car. The vehicle is driven over the scissor ramps and the operator simply positions the heavy duty rubber block assemblies under the correct lifting points. The operation is very quick and the chance for any damage to the underside of the car is minimal.

The unique open middle of the Atlas® Kwik Bay allows access to many areas on the underside of the car that are not easily accessible with other portable mid-rise lifts employing a full superstructure.

The approach ramps lock into a horizontal position to extend the runway platform length by an additional 10¼” on each end (effective lifting surface is expanded from 57 ½” to 78”).

The dual power cylinders and the solid safety lock bars make the Atlas® Kwik Bay one of the most versatile and easy to use scissor mid-rise lifts sold in the USA and Canada.

As with any scissor lift that is completely open (no cross support bar in the front or rear to keep the platforms level), the operator must make sure that the vehicle’s frame is positioned at least 6 inches from the inside of the platform. If too much weight is positioned near the edges of the platform (closer than 6 inches from the inside edges), the platforms may become “pigeon toed” and damage may occur.

We sell Atlas® scissor lift support bars for those “professional customers” who are lifting heavy vehicles with narrow frames. Some “shade tree mechanics” may also use 4 x 4 landscape timbers (in place of Atlas support bars) to obtain the same results of dispersing the narrow frame weight over the entire platform lifting surface.

Watch this video to see proper use of Atlas® support bars under a pickup truck.

Each hinge point has a zerk grease fitting to allow maximum lubrication to each joint.

Our Atlas® Kwik Bay has been thoroughly tested to meet Industry standards. The Atlas® Kwik Bay scissor mid-rise lift is powered by a 120 volt power unit that is mounted on a movable cart. The power unit can be remotely located near the lift for maximum efficiency. This cart is also used to move the Atlas® Kwik Bay on a smooth surface. The lift can be rolled to and from an inside work bay to an outside concrete apron work area.

This motor must be connected to a 120 Volt system (30 amp) service. If the motor is operated on less than a 120 Volt power supply (120 volts at the motor), the lift will not be able to raise its rated capacity and damage may occur to the motor. Extension cords are not recommended.

There are several methods available to increase your delivered voltage and amperage if your current electrical system is not adequate. Please contact a qualified electrician to discuss these options.

The portable power unit console includes a (off/on) power switch, power indicator light, and three (3) control buttons. (up, down, and safety lock). Up button raises the lift. Lock button lowers the lift into a locked position. Lowering button (when depressed) raises the lift off locked position; then actuates lift lock bar movement (off locks) and then allows lift to lower to the ground.

The Atlas® Kwik Bay is the ultimate scissor mid-rise lift that includes one set (4) of positioning blocks.

The best way to position any vehicle on a scissor lift (with horizontal cylinders) is to allow some space (2-6 inches) between the lifting surface of the lift and vehicle’s lifting points. Click here to read more.

The large “foot print” of the Atlas® Kwik Bay creates a steady platform for any raised vehicle. The Atlas® Kwik Bay has a lifting height of over 39” and remains rock solid at all safety lock positions.

My new Atlas 7k Kik Bay lift

by

I have just set up my new lift and used it for the first time. I have to say it is a very solid steady lift and that i'm very satisfied with my purchase. It isn't easily moved around as suggested in the video, it is very heavy and difficult to move by yourself, i had friends to help. Installation was simple after a trip to home depot to replace the plastic air tubing coupler for a 1/4 push in connector on one end and a 3/8 threaded on the other to connect to an air chuck. The hydraulic manifold on the side of lift gets in the way where you drive over the ramp. Over all I love it and will purchase the suv kit later.

I purchased this lift several years ago and just now writing a review. This lift is amazing for what it is, I use my lift almost daily and have left my cars on it multiple times broken down while waiting for parts to finish repairs. This is a must for anyone who do not have the over all space for a full size lift. and being able to access transmissions, drive shafts and other items underneath the vehicle with this lift is what also drew me to it. I have been using it outside in a partly in closed shop now for about 6 yrs. I have not had the first problem or compliant with the lift. Very pleased with my purchase from greg smith equipment and with atlas on building such a great product.

I have had this lift for 4 years now in a body shop and I love it. If you are thinking of getting a lift get this one. The only thing I did was bolt the front to the floor so it wont move.

Amazing lift

by

I started my own shop. I want something that would hold up and not limit me on the width between a standard lift post. Plus i didnt want to lose a lot of space. The locking system is by far what sold me. This lift will do anything the modern mechanic will ever need. Unless you work on big trucks and work vans. But for the 85% of cars and small suv’s on the road. This will do what you need. Plus as heavy and well made it will out last a post lift of its lifting size.
